About

Ricardo

Ricardo works as a strategist, writer, and maker whose work focuses on the shape of ideas: how to articulate them, structure them, test them, and turn them into things that can exist in the world.

He works with people who are trying to think through something genuinely hard — a direction, a message, a system, an argument — and need help getting from "we know what we mean" to something that actually says it. That process involves different disciplines depending on what the idea needs: strategy, writing, research, design, facilitation, or some combination that doesn't have a clean name.

He has particular interest in synthesis — in finding the through-line that makes a complex thing legible — and in the relationship between clarity and beauty. His belief: how something gets built changes what it becomes.

This site documents the practice.

What I'm working on

  • Alkaline Effervescent Beverage — Formulation and market development for a high-alkaline sparkling water concept. The chemistry holds; the market gap exists.
  • 4C Centre — Supporting young makers and builders in Christchurch. Access to tools, mentorship, and the experience of making something with your hands.
  • Future Vision XPRIZE — Developing concepts in a 5-month sprint. [Add more detail when ready to share publicly]
  • Biowaste research — Exploring biodegradable materials and circular production models.
